PPO plans

PPO refers to Preferred Provider Organization. Compared to an HMO (Health Maintenance Organization) plan, this type of plan gives you more flexibility in choosing dentists. In other words, they are plans that offer more provider options and greater flexibility, but at higher costs. Unlike HMOs, you do not need a primary care physician and can see specialists directly.
