Sinus Lift (Sinus Lift)

Sometimes, bone in the premolar and molar regions of the maxilla (upper jaw) can resorb to such an extent that there is little hard tissue separating the sinus cavity and the body of the maxilla. This can greatly complicate dental implant procedures. In these instances, a sinus lift or “sinus augmentation procedure may be recommended in order to increase bone density and volume. If a full-arch implant-supported bridge is recommended, a sinus lift may not be necessary as the posterior implants can be anchored into the zygomatic bone of the maxilla.
