During the first visit, new patients are asked to complete forms that collect relevant personal, medical and dental information. This helps the dental team better understand each patient’s needs and history.
Comprehensive dental health check (teeth, gums, soft tissues and any previous dental treatment). In addition, medical history is reviewed to identify any conditions that may affect dental treatment.
A thorough examination of each tooth and surrounding structures to detect any dental problems, and of the soft tissues of the mouth and temporomandibular joint to detect abnormalities or injuries.
In some cases, digital X-rays of the teeth may be taken to obtain detailed images of the tooth structure and diagnose hidden problems such as cavities or infections.
Duration of consultation
60 minutes
The esthetic appearance of the teeth and gums is evaluated, as well as an assessment of periodontal health for signs of gum disease.
After completing the exams we discuss the results and develop a customized treatment plan that addresses any dental problems identified during the visit.
